Masters of Education (M.Ed) is a two-year masters programme. Although some universities also offer this course as one year. M.Ed programme can be either studied as a normal degree or as a distance or correspondence mode. The degree is available in various subjects and the regulatory body in charge of the course is National Council of Higher Education.
It is mandatory to pursue M.Ed. degree if one wishes to teach at college and university level. It involves research work on education, psychology, sociology among others.
1. Minimum Qualification Required: Degree in B.Ed/ B.El.Ed. is a must.
2. Minimum Marks Aggregate: 50% to 60%, varies from college to college
